This teapot for Gyokuro is called "Hohin" (Treasure Jar). It has no handle and is designed for high-end teas like Gyokuro / Sencha. These green teas are steeped at low temperature in smaller cups for enhanced flavour (see our Gyokuro small cups / Sencha cups). The teapot is Mino-ware made in Gifu prefecture, Japan and has a built-in porcelain douketsu style strainer. Love the minimalist design with white porcelain.
